No Health without Mental Health

What is Mental health?

Mental health controls how you feel, interact with others, and handle life situations.

There are many factors that may contribute to a person having mental health issues. Some of those factors include:

  • Family genetics
  • brain chemistry
  • trauma, abuse
  • toxic home environment
  • personal experiences
  • drug/alcohol abuse

Mental health issues can cause your physical health to decline as well. Stress and depression may lead to a  higher chance of having a stroke or heart attack.  Poor mental health may also be the cause of other health problems including insomnia, diabetes, asthma and many other cardiovacular illnesses. Being unhappy with your physical appearance causes many individuals to experience emotional distress and negative thoughts. Improving your mental and physcial health little by little will have a positive impact on your life.
